Abstract

This article presents the creation and development of an amateur and collaborative digital game that uses WhatsApp as a base platform for games and as an interactive-communicative context for players. Operating from ideas from the Bakhtinian circle about subjectivity and the responsive/responsible act, and adopting Literacy studies, we seek to broaden the understanding of a social practice in which a community of fans engages in an active replica to the narrative of Harry Potter literary saga. The analysis of some of the data, presented in this research clipping, also highlights the transposition of literate practices from the educational universe to the sphere of entertainment in a digital environment, as a result of the engagement of young connoisseurs who build and participate in Hogwarts Games and that thus interrelate youth and school cultures.
