Sobre a “Contextualização” na Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática

This article exposes understandings that emerged from the study on how is the term contextualization shown in studies of significant subjects of MM in Mathematics Education? To do so, we searched for the term contextualization and the derivations context, contextualize and contextualize in texts by seven authors who are significant in the area of Mathematical Modeling, namely: Lourdes Maria Werle de Almeida, Jussara Loyola de Araújo; Jonei Cerqueira Barbosa; Rodney Carlos Bassanezi; Maria Salett Biembengut; Dionysus Burak; Ademir Donizeti Caldeira. With a meta-analytical study we clarified the meanings of contextualization and context as determination, place that, articulation between and means of development. We highlight the need for attention regarding the use of terms in a natural way, opening up possibilities for new investigations.
