Author Biographies

Adélli Bazza, Universidade Estadual do Paraná (UNESPAR)

Assistant Professor at the Universidade Estadual do Paraná (State University of Paraná), affiliated with the Letters Department in Campo Mourão. She holds a bachelor's degree (2004), a master's degree (2009), and a Ph.D. in Letters (2016) from the Universidade Estadual de Maringá (State University of Maringá). She works in Foucauldian Discourse Studies, with research focused on discourse, technologies, and teaching. She is a researcher at the Interinstitutional Group of Foucauldian Discourse Studies (GIEF-UEM), the group Práticas discursivas na Escola (Discursive Practices in School - PRÁDIS-Unespar), and is a member of the ANPOLL Working Group on Foucauldian Discourse Studies.

Pedro Navarro, Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)

He holds a bachelor's degree in Letters from the Universidade Estadual de Maringá (1991), a specialization in Applied Linguistics from the same institution (1995), a master's degree in Letters from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, Assis campus (1998), a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Portuguese Language from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, Araraquara campus (2004), and a postdoctoral degree in Language Studies from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), Campinas campus (2011). He is currently an Associate Professor - Level C at the Universidade Estadual de Maringá and a CNPq PQ-2 (Productivity in Research) researcher. He has extensive experience in the field of Linguistics, with an emphasis on Foucauldian Discourse Analysis. He was the founder and coordinator of the ANPOLL Working Group on Foucauldian Discourse Studies from 2018 to 2023 and is the leader of the Interinstitutional Group of Foucauldian Studies (GIEF) at UEM. He works in the Graduate Program in Letters at UEM, supervising research on discourse, subject, and power, focusing on themes such as sexuality, masculinities, aging, and care of the self. This includes the study of social genders in texts and images circulating in print and electronic newspapers, television media, social networks, and filmic discourses.

Regina Baracuhy, Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)

Associate Professor, Level IV, at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), affiliated with the Department of Portuguese Language and Linguistics (DLPL). She is a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Linguistics (PROLING/UFPB), where she supervises research at the levels of Scientific Initiation, Master's, and Doctorate. She holds a Postdoctoral degree in Linguistics from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Portuguese Language from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Araraquara campus, a Master's degree in Portuguese Language, and a Bachelor's degree in Letters from UFPB. She works in Foucauldian Discourse Studies, developing research on discourse, subjectivity, governmentality, digital media, and urban cartographies. She coordinates the interinstitutional group CIDADI (Círculo de Discussões em Análise do Discurso - Discourse Analysis Discussion Circle) and is a member of the ANPOLL Working Group on Foucauldian Discourse Studies.
