Abstract

This research analyzes the articulation between the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the functionalities of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) to support the creation of accessible teaching materials. The study aligns with constructivist epistemology, understanding that curricular flexibility supports active engagement and cognitive development among diverse learners in the school environment. Methodologically, a qualitative and integrative literature review was conducted, grounded in the classic CAST framework and contemporary literature on educational inclusion. Results indicate that DICT functions as operational tools supporting UDL, enabling the production of multimodal resources tailored to student variability. However, structural limitations are highlighted, including digital exclusion, algorithmic biases, and the need for continuing teacher education. It is concluded that incorporating these technologies requires critical ethical-pedagogical planning to overcome access barriers and foster educational equity.
