Studies carried out with graduates of Higher Education represent an important instrument for evaluating a course, as they provide information for resizing the actions foreseen in the Pedagogical Project, also allowing the assessment of the degree of insertion of the academic institution in society. In this perspective, this paper presents the results of a research that aimed to understand structural and formative aspects of the Mathematics Degree course, based on the perceptions of its graduates, who graduated from the first class . Specifically, we sought to know the socioeconomic profile of students who completed the course, the difficulties encountered in the academic path, the dimensions of pedagogical and specific training and the opportunities arising from the training obtained. This is a quali-quantitative study, with an explanatory objective, whose data production was based on a report by the institution's Academic Support Division and an electronic questionnaire sent to all graduates of the course, classes formed between 2009 and 2021. The study made it possible to understand the motivations for taking the Mathematics course, the profile of the graduates, the obstacles in the training process and insertion in the profession, as well as the interests and expectations regarding the teaching career.
