A Conversão das Representações Semióticas da Função Afim e a Linear:
um estudo diagnóstico com estudantes do Ensino Médio

Abstract: The objective of this study is to analyze the performance and conversion competence of the representation record, from natural language to numeric, in relation to questions of Affine and Linear Functions of High School students. The theoretical contribution is based on Duval's Theory of Semiotic Representation Registers. This is a diagnostic research of a descriptive nature, carried out with 85 students from the 1st year of high school, who answered two questionnaires with six questions each. For the purpose of this study, two of them were analyzed and discussed. According to the results of the data analysis, it was possible to observe that the students have good command in the conversion of natural language to numerical registration, both from the point of view of performance and from the point of view of competence in register conversion.
