Emojis y literacidad visual: un análisis semiótico del lenguaje no verbal y de la expresión emocional

Resumen

El presente trabajo investiga el potencial de los emojis como signos de lenguaje no verbal para la comunicación y la medición de las respuestas emocionales en procesos de elección. La fundamentación se basó en pruebas con 100 consumidores (55 % mujeres; 64 % entre 18 y 25 años), utilizando el método Rate-All-That-Apply (RATA), compuesto por 41 pictogramas para evaluar la percepción de estímulos de kéfir bajo diferentes niveles de información sobre propiedades funcionales. Los datos fueron procesados mediante el análisis de correspondencia factorial (AFC) y el análisis de componentes principales (ACP). Los hallazgos indican que los emojis capturan matices subjetivos de valencia y de activación emocional que trascienden las escalas hedónicas tradicionales. Se evidenció que el uso de los pictogramas es sensible a la cognición situada, lo que permite mapear los desplazamientos de la valencia emocional activados por la información sobre salud. En el campo de la educación y las lenguas, el estudio sugiere que los emojis actúan como niveladores semióticos que facilitan la expresión emocional y el desarrollo de habilidades socioemocionales, ofreciendo un soporte pedagógico inclusivo para sujetos con diferentes niveles de alfabetización verbal. Se concluye que estos signos funcionan como predictores potenciales de la preferencia de elección, llenando vacíos de comunicación en interfaces donde el lenguaje verbal puede resultar limitante.
