Author Biographies

Laís Sousa Di Lauro, Universidade Federal da Paraíba (PROLING/UFPB)

PhD candidate in Linguistics at the Federal University of Paraíba (PROLING/UFPB), in the research line “Discourse,” with a sandwich period at NOVA University Lisbon (UNL/PT). Holds a Master’s in Media Studies from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (PPGEM/UFRN), in the research line “Media Studies and Meaning Production.” Member of the research groups CORPOLÍTICA (UFRN) and CIDADI (UFPB). Graduated in Social Communication – Journalism from UFRN, also with a sandwich period at UNL/PT. Research interests include Instagram, discourse, body, beauty, the feminine, digital media, gender, and subjectivities. Has professional experience in advertising, digital marketing, press relations, and political advisory.

Regina Baracuhy, Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)

Level IV Associate Professor at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), affiliated with the Department of Portuguese Language and Linguistics (DLPL) and a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Linguistics (PROLING/UFPB), where she supervises research at the levels of Scientific Initiation, Master's, and PhD. She holds a Postdoctoral degree in Linguistics from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), a PhD in Linguistics and Portuguese Language from UNESP/Araraquara, a Master's in Portuguese Language, and a Bachelor's in Letters from UFPB. She works in Foucauldian Discursive Studies, developing research on discourse, subject, governmentality, digital media, and urban cartographies. She coordinates the inter-institutional group CIDADI (Círculo de Discussões em Análise do Discurso) and is a member of the ANPOLL Working Group on Foucauldian Discursive Studies.
