Reinterpretando el metro de doble aspecto en los repertorios de los siglos XX y XXI

La Teoría de la Disonancia Métrica, desarrollada desde las últimas décadas del siglo XX a partir de análisis de repertorios occidentales del siglo XIX, ha recibido una serie de contribuciones recientes. Una de estas nuevas propuestas aborda el doble aspecto de la disonancia métrica o, como se utiliza en este artículo, la métrica dual, un principio que reúne aspectos de consonancia y disonancia métrica. Este trabajo revisita el concepto de métrica dual y busca articularlo con la idea de métrica como proceso y con principios propios de la psicología cognitiva. Se identifican tres posibles formas de dualizar una disonancia métrica: entre la primera y otras escuchas; entre la primera y otras ocurrencias; por convención de estilo. Esta reinterpretación incluye también ejemplos analíticos de repertorios de los últimos ciento veinte años, de tradiciones populares y eruditas, que esquematizan a continuación todo el cuerpo del texto.
