Review of Submission Categories
Vórtex Music Journal informs that the categories for publication have been revised, with changes in our Publishing Policy. We provide more details about these changes below, indicating that submissions already made will not be affected.

Categories that have changed
From June/2023 on, the Vortex Journal will publish ARTISTIC WORKS by invitation only. The Editorial Board curates and defines artists with recognized trajectory and/or impact on the artistic community who will be invited to participate in each issue.
From June/2023 on, Vórtex Journal will publish SCORES only as attachments to the articles. Thus, the practice of publishing scores (manuscripts, originals, transcriptions, arrangements, etc.) must be accompanied by a discussion in the category of full articles.
From June/2023 on, the Vortex Journal will publish PATCHES & CODES only as appendices to the articles. Thus, the practice of publishing patches and codes must be accompanied by a discussion in the category of full articles. This decision aims to qualify the published content and observes the current scenario with specialized repositories for code distribution, such as GitHub, Gitlab, SourceForge and others.
As of June/2023 the Vortex Journal will publish AUDIOVISUAL RECORDINGS only as appendices to the other categories.
