Abstract

Computer music patch/abstraction developed with Max 7 (Cycling74) for frequency analysis and music notation. It features a microtonal interval calculator alongside an interface for musical notation. This patch was made for those who deal with the notation of microtonal music.

Author Biography

Felipe de Almeida Ribeiro, Unespar/Embap

Composer of instrumental and electroacoustic music, Ribeiro studied composition with Cort Lippe at the State University of New York at Buffalo (USA), with Dániel Péter Biró and Gordon Mumma at the University of Victoria (Canada), and with Rodolfo Coelho de Souza at the Universidade Federal do Paraná (Brazil). His music has been performed in South America, North America and Europe, and performed by artists such as the New York New Music Ensemble (USA), Norrbotten NEO (Sweden), Nieuw Ensemble (Netherlands), among others. Ribeiro is currently part of the «Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná» faculty.
