Abstract

This essay presents a mapping of academic researches related to Modeling in Education and Creative Processes, whose objective is to analyze how these theoretical references are presented in research directed to the teaching and learning of mathematics and/or in different professional fields. As a methodological approach, Mapping in Educational Research was used with data obtained from the Bank of Theses and Dissertation of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). The analysis was based on five categories defined a priori: a) problems investigated/research interests; b) theoretical references of research; c) methodologies used in the research; d) main research results; and e) prospects for continuity. This study made it possible to identify associations of the theoretical frameworks, evidencing and presenting a basis on the possibilities of carrying out works with Modeling in Education, using Creative Processes in different professional fields.
