Lesson Study por não-japoneses
jugyo Kenkyu é possível fora do Japão?

O ato de ensinar é uma atividade cultural, e como tal, é regido por quadros mentais que moldam comportamentos. O Jugyo Kenkyu, ou Lesson Study, como é mundialmente conhecido, é parte do sistema educacional japonês voltada para melhoria do ensino de professores da educação básica, e vem sendo implementado por outras culturas. Dada a complexidade e bases culturais japonesas do Jugyo Kenkyu, importa identificar aproximações, distanciamentos e obstáculos quando de sua aplicação em esferas escolares não-japonesas, relatados por educadores e pesquisadores japoneses, e materializados em uma revisão sistemática denominada Snowballing. A revisão foi baseada em nove trabalhos científicos, filtrados por descritores e critérios de inclusão desenhados em um protocolo, cujos principais resultados apontaram uso do ciclo planejamento-implementação-reflexão (aproximação); tratamento do Lesson Study como workshop, desconsideração de objetivos de longo prazo, foco no professor e não no ensino (distanciamento); carência de apoio administrativo e governamental (obstáculo).
