ABSTRACT: Understanding language in text production teaching as a method of interaction means to assume a discursive behavior, which considers the relationship among individuals located socio-historically. It is this understanding that underlies the Curriculum of the Initial Years (AMOP, 2007, 2015, 2020), when guiding the teaching of Portuguese language (PL), from which we inquire ourselves: what elements of a proposal of writing as a method of interaction are being guaranteed in written text production instructions? Thus, in this article, we aim to reflect on writing as a method of interaction and on its implications in conducting text production activity. For this, we look at text production instructions prepared by teachers of the 5th year of Elementary School – initial years - from the western region of Paraná, supported by authors such as Geraldi (1997), Menegassi (2004), Costa-Hübes (2012), without losing sight of writings from the Bakhtin Circle. The analyses show us that there are still few interaction elements observed by teachers in the elaboration of text production instructions that precede the student's writing.
