Abstract

Abstract
This article analyzes education from the philosophical perspective of Hannah Arendt, highlighting its essential role in preventing historical horrors such as totalitarianism. Arendt argues that educating means forming individuals capable of critical thinking and judgment, going beyond the simple transmission of knowledge. The idea of natality represents the ethical responsibility of adults to prepare young people to renew the world. The school should be a space of plurality, freedom, and historical memory, promoting ethical reflection and responsible judgment. The concept of the "banality of evil" reinforces the importance of autonomous thought. Thus, education is presented as a political act of love for the world, fundamental to preserving democracy and avoiding the repetition of past mistakes. Keywords: Education, Hannah Arendt, natality, historical memory, critical judgment, banality of evil; totalitarianism, plurality; ethics; democracy.
