In this article, we present a discussion on the research/classroom interfaces in the Postgraduate Program in Science Teaching and Mathematics Education, analyzing their influences on the training of researchers. To this end, we approached this issue through theorizing and studies on research and the classroom. The subjects of this study were ten students in the Graduate Program in Science Teaching and Mathematics Education at the State University of Paraíba (UEPB), studying the subject Topics in Mathematics Teaching. The research adopted a qualitative approach, of an exploratory and descriptive nature, and its methodological procedure consisted of data collection and application of a questionnaire. The results obtained point to the need to constantly reflect on teaching practice based on the research carried out, promoting a closer relationship between research and the classroom. It was observed that there is a positive impact of research in Science and Mathematics Teaching on aspects related to the classroom and the training process of researchers.
