Abstract

The teaching-learning process of mathematics has been one of the greatest challenges for Brazilian educators at all levels of schooling. Learning gaps become more evident in higher education, which demands more and more power of synthesis and abstraction from students when facing daily problems. Starting from this context, the present text is a report of an experience carried out in the scope of the subject "Differential and Integral Calculus" for selected undergraduate courses at a federal university, between 2017 and 2018. Resulting from an interdisciplinary project between the areas of Mathematics and Communication, the experience included the production of audiovisuals and the adaptation of teaching strategies with the theoretical and methodological support of Learning Styles. The results obtained show that the actions developed presented important contributions in the field of mathematics education.
