The objective of this paper was to investigate how Problem Solving is presented in Mathematics Degree in the Southern Region of Brazil. For this, elements were sought in the documents and menus of the courses registered on the e-MEC portal and through individual consultation on the universities' websites. The research presented a qualitative approach, in the documentary modality, in an attempt to understand the meanings and situational characteristics. The results indicate that in 43 of the 49 courses in which it was possible to obtain the data, Problem Solving is used as a menu topic for one or more subjects of the Mathematics Education. In addition, at two courses, Problem Solving is a mandatory discipline and in four, it is addressed as an optional discipline. Some weaknesses to carry out this research were: regarding access to the curricular matrices of the courses and the references used; courses in the process of extinction, without information on the institutions' website and courses in reformulation, whose new scenery may present divergences in relation to the data obtained in the survey carried out.
