Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word(.doc ou . docx).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Annual publication limit per author/co-author

From 2021 on, RPEM will limit the publication of articles per authors / co-authors: each author / co-author is allowed to have only 1 (one) article published per year. If there are thematic numbers in the same year, the limit is 2 (two) articles: 1 (one) in the thematic number and 1 (one) in a continuous flow number.

If the same author / co-author exceeds the limit of approved articles, the publication will be for the following year, always regarding the chronological order of submission.

Scientific Papers and Reports of Experiences

The number of authors of a same article must be at most 6 (six).

The texts shall be elaborated in Word (.doc extension) with A4 paper size, the margins must be: Superior and Left: 3 cm – Inferior and Right: 2 cm; Works with a total from 10 to 25 lines pages will be accepted.

Title: Times New Roman, centralized, font 14, upper case, bold, spacing 1.5.

Title in Portuguese: Times New Roman, centralized, font 14, upper case, bold, spacing 1.5.

Name(s) of the author(s): Times New Roman, aligned at right, font 12, simple spacing. Footnote with the following data from each author shall be inserted: title, institution to which him/her is bound to/acronym and e-mail.

Abstract: The word Abstract must be written in font Times New Roman, size 12, bold, simple spacing, aligned at left and followed by the abstract’s text. The article’s abstract shall be written in font Times New Roman, size 11, simple spacing, justified, without paragraph retreat, containing from 100 to 250 words. The abstract shall contain the following elements: Context, Objectives, Methodological Procedures, Results and Conclusions.

Keywords: Up to four can be used. These ones must be presented in font Times New Roman, size 11, simple spacing, justified and separated by a period.

Resumo: The same Abstract’s guidelines are followed, written in Portuguese.

Palavras-chave: The same Key-words’ guidelines are followed, written in Portuguese.

Subtitles: they must come in font Times New Roman, size 12, bold, 1.5 interlines spacing; justified and without sections and subsections numbering. Only the subtitle’s initial letter shall be written in capital letter.

Text’s Body: The text’s body shall be started in the second line after each section’s subtitle. The article’s body font must be Times New Roman, size 12. The paragraphs shall present 1.25 cm retreat in the first line. Footnotes must come at the end of the page, numbered in sequence, in font Times New Roman, size 10. For Quotations, the current ABNT standard (NBR 10520/2002) shall be followed.

References: the current ABNT (NBR 6023/2018) standard shall be followed.

Sections constituting the magazine:

  • Scientific Papers (not published in another periodical);
  • Experiences reports (not published in another periodical);
  • Interviews (with researchers acknowledged in the national and international scenario in the Mathematics Education area).

Número Temático: Resolução de Problemas na Educação Matemática

Em parceria com a Revista Paranaense de Educação Matemática, anunciamos o número temático “Resolução de Problemas na Educação Matemática”. Contamos com a contribuição de pesquisas que envolvam a resolução de problemas no âmbito da Educação Básica, da Educação de Jovens e Adultos, do Ensino Superior, da Formação de Professores, entre outros assuntos pertinentes à área da Educação Matemática.

A produção das pesquisas deve seguir as normas da Revista Paranaense de Educação Matemática, de modo que serão aceitos artigos científicos e relatos de experiência. A língua a ser utilizada na escrita do texto do artigo pode ser Português, Inglês, Espanhol ou Francês.

Ao submeter o artigo pela plataforma/site da revista, escolher o tipo de trabalho pelo nome do número temático: “Número Temático - Resolução de Problemas na Educação Matemática”.

Início das submissões: 10/09/2022

Prazo limite para as submissões: 10/12/2022

Previsão da publicação: abril de 2023
