This study connects the maker culture to the New High School (Law 13.415/2017) and the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base, in order to suggest the creation of a formative itinerary that involves this movement in the development of skills and competencies related to reading and text production. Thus, it aims to analyze the possibility of creating a formative itinerary that deals with the maker culture and list possible approaches for its implementation in school in order to insert this significant movement today also in the school context. It is observed, from the reflections made, that reading and text production activities under the maker approach can be fruitful for the development of students to the extent that they unite writing, graphic design and creativity.
