No que concerne à construção da estética realista pretendida pelo cineasta Leon Hirszman, para o filme "S. Bernardo" (1972), neste artigo, articula-se entrevista com Lauro Escorel, Diretor de Fotografia deste filme, à análise de algumas imagens de "S. Bernardo" , visando elucidar o potencial da memória relativo ao processo de criação e recriação estética desta obra, como também dos recursos de produção viabilizados para realizá-la.
