Abstract

This article reflects on the concept of the body without organs, its application to the work of the actor, and the reinvention of a research methodology that brings together different voices to construct a cartography. The author reflects on practices of the self, meeting counter-colony agents to understand different ways of existing, expressing, and creating. This article brings together three distinct and passionate reflections: a performance presented at Carpintaria do Ator at Oficina Theater in São Paulo; an encounter with researcher Déa Trancoso at the workshop "Metodologia das Sutilezas" (Methodology of Subtleties); and a reflection on the ethnographic account "A Queda do Céu" (The Falling Sky) by Davi Kopenawa. These reflections were developed in the master's level research entitled Body without Organs: Subversion and Profane Inspiration in the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts (PPGAC) at the Federal University of São João del Rei (UFSJ).
