Abstract

This article presents a pedagogical experience developed as a counter-colonial artistic practice, articulating sensitive displacements, errancies, and interventions in spaces of the university campus and the center of Ilhéus. The proposal involved walks, observations, photographic records, and the production of field journals, leading to the creation of the Garden of Inquiries — a collective artistic intervention using wheatpasted posters, stencils, and poetic texts that inscribed marks of presence and listening in the space. The experience was met with public backlash, revealing the disputes surrounding art, bodies, and the occupation of urban territories. The pedagogical journey is informed by the concepts of Milton Santos, particularly his definition of territory as the framework of existence, and Antônio Bispo dos Santos, whose counter-colonial proposal inspires action as a way of feeding names and joy, rejecting the sadness imposed by coloniality. The text embraces the character of an unfinished, errant crossing, affirming art as a gesture of resistance, thought, and belonging. By proposing the listening to the city and the activation of the sensitive as formative paths, the experience challenges the logic of control, opening breaches for imagining other ways of teaching, learning, and inhabiting the world.
