This article aims to share reflections on an artistic practice developed during a theatrical experience held in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the MST, through a non-formal teaching and learning practice. The main participants were young people and teenagers from the Vitória da Conquista community in Friburgo, Santa Catarina, where the anniversary of the 25 de maio School—an achievement of the movement’s struggle—was also celebrated. The activities, both artistic and pedagogical, were carried out in a context of knowledge sharing and promoted through a partnership between the university and the social movement. In this context, we propose the notion of Monument Theater, based on studies of Image Theater and the practice of monuments that, through theatrical action, call for the creation of political imagery within the struggle of the "Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra" and the possibility of imagining another possible world through the lived experiences of young student-workers.
