This text presents a supervised internship experience, highlighting proposals developed as a mentor for a group of students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education program at University XXX. The activities aimed to bring students closer to the school context through a poetic-pedagogical perspective, encouraging reflections on teaching in dialogue with artistic practices. Furthermore, the text discusses the concept of the teacher-artist as a connecting axis between the practices developed throughout the academic year. The experience revealed challenges and possibilities in the teacher education process and in conceptions of basic education, highlighting the internship as a powerful space for experimentation, creation, and redefinition of pedagogical practice.
