Abstract

This work aims to present a critical review of the book Decirse Público: entre la mediación teatral y el efectoestético, written by Professor Dr. Flávio Desgranges (Spanish Edition), translated by César Amézquita, Gina Monge, and Camila Scundeler, and published in 2022 by Hucitec Editora, São Paulo. The content of the work, contains 218 pages, is structured in 4 chapters, each with about 3 subchapters. The texts/essays written by the author refer to educational and artistic experiences that share the same focus on the field of mediation and artistic reception, more specifically in the theatrical context. The book is aimed at readers interested in the areas of arts and education, in dialogue with artistic mediation and its sociocultural discourses.

Author Biography

Ana Letícia Villas Bôas, UNESPAR/UFPR

PhD student in the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), linked to the research line Language, Body, and Aesthetics in Education (LiCorEs). Master’s in Arts/Theatre from the Professional Master’s in Arts (PPGArtes) at the State University of Paraná, Curitiba II campus/Paraná School of Arts (UNESPAR/FAP), linked to the research line Experiences and Mediation in Educational Relations in the Arts. She holds a degree in Theatre from UNESPAR/FAP and is currently an undergraduate student in Dance at the same institution. She is currently part of the teaching team, teaching theatre to children and adults at the Lala Schneider Theatre. Her research focuses on topics related to Education, Body Arts, Dance-theatre, Theatre, Teaching and Learning in Dance, Playwriting, and Artistic Mediation.
