During this study, students were challenged to develop verbalization skills, reasoning, participation, and socialization. The objective was to develop a pedagogical tool for using active learning methodologies in the classroom and then evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching material in Biology education. To this end, the research was applied to a group of students in a 3rd-year high school class at the Arabela Ribeiro State School, located in the city of Estância, Sergipe. Three meetings were held, with lessons on human reproduction and the use of a board game and a "pass or fail" game, respectively. The evaluated parameters—participation, socialization, reasoning, and discussion—were classified as Excellent, since the final result was above 80% for the respective games. In conclusion, the application of the methodology used in gamification-based learning in Biology education is efficient, making the class more dynamic and attractive, stimulating student development and a good level of learning. Therefore, the objective of the methodological application was successfully achieved.
