Abstract

This text is an adaptation of a class given in the course Between Olympia and Bartleby at the Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts at the University of São Paulo (PPGAV-USP) in 2023. The course ended with a proposal for students to create collectively a remake of I miss Sonja Henie by Yugoslav director Karpo Godina, with the title Que saudades do Vampeta [I miss Vampeta]. The filming was done during a night class, in a room in the Visual Arts Department at ECA-USP, with costumes and objects brought by the students, and based on scripts developed by them under the rules established by Godina. With the same images, the group created four montages, which can be accessed here.
