APOTHEKE/DEWEY AND THE PAINTED THOUGHT AS INVESTIGATIVE AND FORMATIVE ACTION

The text presents reflections on the construction of pictorial thinking, in the midst of the painting studio and the development of aesthetic practice of the teaching artist, situated in the investigative context of the Painting Studio Group Apotheke. The thinking of painting comes from thinking together, with, in the midst of painting and not only about it, involving itself with different elements that constitute it, material and immaterial, theoretical and practical. I present possible dialogues carried out in the investigative and formative sphere, as a way to experience the painting atelier together with the concept of the investigating artist-teacher, who feeds on the movements that take place between artistic and pedagogical practices to reinvent himself, in order to transgress teaching as a subject in the practice of himself. The explanations reflect the investigative and pedagogical experiences carried out by the author during the formative period of the Graduate Program in Visual Arts in the painting studio.
