This text gives an account of the notion of ontology developed from the reading of the work of H. P. Lovecraft by Fabián Ludueña Romandini. The Argentinian philosopher takes the Lovecraftian text as the development of an ontology, whose fictional aspect is understood as the speculative procedure that produces a cosmology and a mythology. This ontology speaks of what is outside of any mode of existence and therefore of what we would call radical exteriority, of which we can only know what we represent fictionally from dreams, mystical trances or delusions and hallucinations. In this sense, radical exteriority presupposes an ontology without possible categories. Another reading of Lovecraft's work is possible however: radical exteriority is only another denomination of the difference incarnated in the primitive, whose representation is only the incorporeal, or the non-individualised, deformed body of the immigrant embodied, for HPL, in biological and social degeneration.
