O CINEMA LATINO-AMERICANO COMO INDÚSTRIA DA AUTONOMIA DO IMAGINÁRIO: ENTREVISTA COM OCTAVIO GETINO

Rafael Urban, que realizou uma relevante e potente entrevista com o cineasta e
roteirista Octavio Getino, quando o encontrou em sua residência em Buenos
Aires, em 2007 – cinco anos antes de seu falecimento –, atualiza seu olhar sobre o
cineasta e o conteúdo da entrevista e nos concede o privilégio de poder publicar
importante material, ainda inédito em periódicos brasileiros, agora como título O
cinema latino-americano como indústria da autonomia do imaginário: entrevista
com Octavio Getino. O cineasta entrevistado, argentino de naturalidade espanhola,
também foi escritor e professor. Dirigiu o filme A Hora dos Fornos (1968) e escreveu
o manifesto Hacia un Tercer Cine (1969), referências da produção latino-americana
contracolonial, em parceria com Fernando Solanas. Publicou diversos livros sobre
cinema e televisão, entre eles Cine argentino: entre lo posible y lo deseable.
