This article addresses the theoretical and practical gap between Konstantin Stanislavski's An Actor's Work on Himself (2007 ; 2009), Professional Technical Education in Theater in the state of Bahia, and pedagogical proposals aimed at training deaf people. To this end, it reflects on the artistic and pedagogical nature of the Stanislavskian System, analyzes the curricula of technical theater courses offered by the State Government of Bahia, and describes an observation experience carried out at the Sons do Silêncio Association for Education. Based on the articulation between these three axes, the text proposes a critical and situated reading of Stanislavski's thinking, understanding it as an open pedagogical program, open to dialogue with public policies for artistic training and inclusive practices in theater teaching. The article serves as an introductory reflection on ongoing master's research in the Graduate Program in Performing Arts at the Theater School of the Federal University of Bahia.
