Abstract

This memorial aims to report the first mandatory teaching internship experience in Theater at the Colégio de Aplicação of UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul) in the year of 2024. The writing is based on the experiences of two teachers in training, who had already begun their journeys as educators and artists even before the internship classes started. Their narratives make it clear that their experiences wandered through and intertwined with what the university taught and what professional life demanded. Throughout the internship process, both had to reassess themselves as educators, as they were already performing many of the roles they were still training for. Thus, it became necessary to deconstruct what they already knew and recognize themselves for what they truly were: undergraduate students, teachers in training.
