The article presented below aimed to investigate whether young actors and actresses, inserted in a non-professional context in an extension project, would be able to access their creative spontaneity based on some principles intrinsic to the Active Analysis Method and the Actor's Work on Himself by Constantin Stanislavski. Among the principles researched, "table reading," "the super task," and "the proposed circumstances" were highlighted. This qualitative study used bibliographic procedures and action research. To carry out the study, five sequential meetings were held once a week between April and May 2023 with students from the theater extension course at the Federal Institute of Paraná - Câmpus Pinhais. The research draws on theoretical assumptions from authors who discuss Stanislavski and his methods, such as Abreu (2020), D'Agostini (2018), Vássina and Labaki (2016), and Zaltron (2021). It also addresses specific aspects of the pedagogy of performing arts, such as the role of the director-pedagogue, Haderchpek (2010). As a conclusion, we have come to the perspective that Stanislavskian principles are powerful procedures for working with young actors and actresses who are involved in a non-professional context.
