Abstract

The growing demands and requirements of the school environment can negatively influence the health of elementary school teachers, leading to exhaustion and psychological and emotional imbalance. In this way, the aim is to describe the construction of an educational technology in the form of a booklet, developed during an academic master's degree at a federal university in 2021, with a focus on emotionally and psychologically fragile female teachers. This is an excerpt from a field study, with a qualitative approach, carried out in four public elementary schools in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro, with 24 female teachers as participants, using semi-structured interviews as the data collection instrument. After analyzing and discussing the results, it was concluded that the workers are in psychological distress. The aim was therefore to contribute to their well-being by creating a booklet in comic book format. The material was created by the researchers based on the results of the study and validated by the participants, and presented to the responsible bodies as a suggestion for implementation in the education network of the municipality in question. It is hoped that the educational technology will help to enhance the mental health of female education workers.
