The use of digital technologies in English language teaching in professional and technological education

The objective of this work is, encourage the discussion about Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) to favor the teaching-learning process of the English Language in professional and technological Education. That way, this article presents a bibliographic review divided into three parts, starting with a brief contextualization on the path of inclusion of digital technologies in the teaching-learning process. In a second moment, an overview about the use mobile applications in English Language learning is presented, ending with an explanation about integration and interdisciplinarity in Professional and Technological Education (Educação Profissional Tecnológica - EPT). However, the study demonstrates that the use of mobile applications as an educational resource for teaching the English language favors the interdisciplinary teaching-learning process in the EPT, being a positive factor for the student's inclusion in the world of labor.
