Práticas de oralidade e o trabalho com Podcasts nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental

Abstract

This article aims to systematize a pedagogical proposal for teaching oral language, developed within the context of teachers’ continuing professional development, using podcasts as a medium for language practices. The proposal is grounded in the conception of language as a social practice and oral language as an object of teaching, drawing on the theoretical assumptions of discourse genres. This qualitative study is bibliographical, descriptive, and propositional in nature, and was developed through the reorganization of pedagogical materials originally designed for a previously implemented teacher education program. The proposal takes the fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, presented in podcast format, as a starting point for the development of different oral discourse genres aligned with the learning objectives established by the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). The theoretical-interpretative analysis indicates that podcasts, understood as a medium for the circulation of different discourse genres, expand the possibilities for teaching oral language by fostering listening, planning, oral production, and interaction practices. Thus, the proposal constitutes a pedagogical strategy that may support teacher professional development and oral language teaching in the early years of Elementary Education.
