The present article aims to investigate the practices and actions of Environmental Education carried out by the post-graduation program in teaching (PPGE/UERN), in a time frame of six years (2016-2022), highlighting the environmental importance in the teaching and learning process. For this purpose, a literature review was carried out based on the discursive textual analysis (DTA) of the dissertations produced in the mentioned Program. After an analysis of the titles and abstracts, it was found that 11 dissertations fully met the inclusion criteria established in this research, with five presenting the relevance of Environmental Education for academic formation and six presenting impressions on teaching based on Environmental Education. The results indicate that the environmental theme has an important dimension for academic formation, despite being little discussed in academia, possibly because it is not a discipline and is not integrated into a specific course. The contents are worked in an interdisciplinary way, contributing to the awareness and socialization of this theme in the formative process. Overall, all the productions clearly present their objectives aimed at the development of the theme in the process of training ethical and conscious citizens in the fight against environmental degradation, either through practical or theoretical activities.
