Para a composição desse dossiê, selecionamos um conjunto de textos que discutem relações entre a produção contemporânea de gravura e questões latentes na sociedade. Nas últimas décadas percebemos tanto uma movimentação em torno das técnicas tradicionais de gravura com temáticas emergentes, quanto em trabalhos que se estruturam a partir de desdobramentos da gravura (MARTINS; MESQUITA, 2012[1]; RESENDE, 2000[2]), dialogando com a arte impressa (MADERUELO, 2019[3]; DIDI-HUBERMAN, 1997[4]), com o hibridismo, com a apropriação (TALLMAN, 1996[5]), com as novas tecnologias, entre outras. Nas páginas que seguem o leitor encontrará pesquisas singulares discutindo as artes gráficas nas mais diversas vertentes.
