Abstract

This paper is a result of investigations into traditional printmaking and contemporary practices in printed art. It brings reflections on the construction and reconstruction of the image through artistic procedures that involve graphic techniques, both traditional and subversions of digital techniques for artistic use. The procedures for an innovative practice of producing colored images using a dot matrix printer and fabric carbon are described, as well as the appropriation of images from encyclopedias to create fictional narratives.

Doutorando em Artes Visuais pelo PPGAV/UDESC na Linha de Processos Artísticos Contemporâneos, onde é bolsista da Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa e Inovação do Estado de Santa Catarina (FAPESC). Mestre em Artes Visuais pela UDESC. Trabalha com gravura, fotografia e livro de artista. Editor e impressor na Caseira.art. Reside na cidade de Penha, Santa Catarina, Brasil.

Sandra Maria Correia Favero, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina - UDESC

Doutora em Poéticas Visuais, artista, pesquisadora, professora e curadora, pesquisa principalmente temáticas de memória, natureza e caminhadas em poéticas contemporâneas, com a gravura, o livro de artista, a fotografia-performance e a instalação como meios de expressão. É professora da UDESC no Departamento de Artes Visuais e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais, na Linha de Pesquisa Processos Artísticos Contemporâneos. Coordena o projeto de pesquisa Raízes Poéticas e integra o Grupo de Pesquisa Articulações Poéticas CNPq/UDESC. Reside em Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brasil.
