O presente artigo visa discutir os desdobramentos na produção fotográfica de Tina Modotti, no México, em meados de 1920. Parte-se da ideia de que os diversos contatos de Tina com o povo mexicano, com artistas e intelectuais mexicanos e estrangeiros, fizeram com que sua fotografia fosse constantemente repensada e reelaborada, unindo preocupações éticas e estéticas. Objetiva-se, desse modo, romper com uma análise cronológica de sua produção, que acaba por dividir suas fotografias em fases, e pensar em sua obra como algo com constantes e múltiplas conexões.
