Abstract

Pequenos Oceanos é um ensaio visual que apresenta uma série de vinte e quatro pinturas. A série trata de distância e deslocamento. As pinceladas criam camadas longas de texturas que fazem nascer um pequeno espaço vazio. O vazio também é a falta. A falta é saudade, é um oceano inteiro que distancia.

Artista. Professora do Departamento de Artes Visuais/IA/UFRGS, onde atua no Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Artes Visuais e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais. Possui graduação em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2000), graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1994), mestrado em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2003) e doutorado em Arte Público y Poéticas Visuais - Universidad Politénica de Valencia (Espanha) e Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (co-tutela).É lí­der do Grupo de Pesquisa CNPq Arte pública participativa: articulação entre poética e cidadania, onde desenvolve a pesquisa Poéticas da Participação.
