Abstract

O presente artigo apresenta parcialmente alguns dos resultados obtidos durante a pesquisa de pós-doutorado realizada em 2009 na FAU-USP. A pesquisa investiga as interações entre natureza e ciência na arte contemporânea, procurando identificar as recentes mudanças de paradigmas na relação do homem com a paisagem natural. São apresentadas reflexões sobre artificialidade da percepção humana da natureza e as implicações que isto traz para a arte contemporânea.

Author Biography

Hugo Fernando Salinas Fortes Júnior, Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo, São Paulo

Hugo Fortes é artista visual, professor doutor na ECA-USP e curador. Em 2009 realizou pesquisa pós-doutorado na FAU-USP. Doutor em Artes Visuais pela ECA-USP, com doutorado-sanduí­che na Universität der Künste Berlin, Alemanha, onde foi bolsista do Serviço de Intercâmbio Acadêmico Alemão (DAAD). Ganhador do Prêmio Capes de Tese 2007. Como artista já participou em exposições em mais de 15 paí­ses. Foi curador de diversas mostras, entre elas Urbi et Orbi no Paço das Artes e Mostraví­deo Itaúcultural, em Belo Horizonte e Vitória. Organizador do I e do II Seminário Interacional Arte e Natureza. Desenvolve trabalhos em instalação, video, performance e fotografia em que as questões relativas a natureza e a ciência são o principal tema de interesse.
