O DRAMA WAGNERIANO E O PAPEL DE ADOLPHE APPIA EM SUAS TRANSFORMAÇÕES CÊNICAS

Este trabalho aborda inovações teorizadas e propostas para a ópera de Richard
Wagner (1813-1883) com o conceito de Gesamtkunstwerk e a reforma cênica concebida porAdolphe Appia (1862-1928) para o drama wagneriano. Discute-se o papel igualitário dasdiversas formas artísticas na ópera de Wagner e a hierarquização feita por Appia. Finalmente,realiza-se uma comparação entre cenografias tradicionais para Parsifal de Wagner e aspropostas de Appia para a mesma obra.
