Abstract

This visual essay brings some comments on the series of drawings “The Remaining Man”, which has been developed over the last 24 years of my production in visual arts. The small format drawings reveal in their economical and direct lines a solitary male figure in the midst of an inhospitable and deserted landscape. In a fragmented narrative where beginning, middle and end do not follow a chronological order, we follow the character on his journey.

Luiz Rodolfo Annes

Luiz Rodolfo Annes Bacharel em Pintura pela EMBAP, inicia já dentro da graduação sua produção de desenhos e textos que vão acompanhar toda sua carreira. Em 2001 participa da exposição "Os Dragões não conhecem o Paraí­so" no Centro Cultural São Paulo. Após participar de algumas individuais e coletiva até 2004 onde explora o desenho sobre papel discutindo questões em torno do corpo e sexualidade, do desenho e da escrita a partir de 2005 realiza mostras onde o desenho e suas pequenas narrativas expande-se para outros suportes como: animação, tapeçarias e desenhos feitos no corel draw. Mestre em Cinema e Artes Video na linha de pesquisa Processos de Criação, Unespar (2020).
