Abstract

Black entrepreneurship, or Afro-entrepreneurship, can be considered a form of entrepreneurship that relates to the money that circulates among the black community, known as black money. The general objective of this study was to analyze the expansion of black entrepreneurship in Rio de Janeiro, considering the growth of black enterprises in the last five years from the point of view of the entrepreneurs involved; understanding the knowledge of black entrepreneurs in Rio de Janeiro about black money and its contribution to the expansion of black entrepreneurship in the state; and mapping the events conducive to the activities of black entrepreneurs in Rio de Janeiro in recent years and their importance according to the entrepreneurs themselves.
