Abstract

As of the year 2020, tourism could only be done in open spaces and in groups of few people. Rural tourism generated a particular interest for leisure and recreation activities for tourists. This was due to a Pandemic that hit the world, caused by COVID19. It was observed that in order to provide this service, the legal normalization of rural tourism activities was in an uneven state throughout the territory of Argentina. This work was carried out through an exhaustive search of legislative and research bibliography, an analysis of the legal framework in which Rural Tourism is developed in Argentina. It seeks to respond to the state of the art in this subject; investigating in the 23 provinces of Argentina and in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Argentina has a legislation for Tourism and not in Rural Tourism at the country level. This is present in provincial legislation and the concept of Rural Tourism has a heterogeneous, incomplete and undeveloped definition.
