Abstract

This research aims to examine how burnout prevention and management strategies contribute to quality of work life (QWL). Using a qualitative approach classified as a case study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with five managers from different sectors and hierarchical levels in companies located in the coastal region of Paraná. The study seeks to identify the practices adopted to mitigate burnout, understand managers' perceptions of QWL, and analyze the challenges and facilitators in implementing these strategies.

For data analysis, the content analysis technique proposed by Bardin (2011) was applied, allowing for a structured categorization of the collected information. The findings indicate that, although organizations acknowledge the importance of employee well-being, the adoption of effective burnout prevention and management strategies still faces challenges such as limited resources and time constraints for implementing concrete actions.

Thus, the need to strengthen management practices and foster a more balanced and healthy work environment is evident to enhance professional quality of life and reduce the risks of burnout. Theoretically, this research expands knowledge on the relationship between organizational strategies and QWL. From a practical perspective, it highlights the importance of cultural transformation within companies, promoting more sustainable work environments focused on employee well-being.
