The sensitive constellation of the imaginary of urban ambiances

This article reflects on how to think about the contemporary city and its spaces: its meaningful and sensitive fragments. It also investigates “how” the city is and presents itself and how we position our gaze in an ontology of the present strategy. The “how” accompanies the thought and in-depth observation; it is a methodological situationism that opposes a priori to thinking. From an ontology of the present perspective, the analysis allows us to say what is experienced in the here and now of existence. The imaginary of urban ambiance can be considered an effect of the perception of the city, which cannot be separated from the real, as its effects, parts, and atmospheres are part of it.
