Virtue, morality, education.Abstract
In the pedagogical environment there is a large consensus that the main objective of education is the formation of values, or, in its classic sense, virtues. However, it is worth asking if virtue, as an element of morality, is really something that can be transmitted or taught. This article revolves around this question, that is, we try to discuss to what extent, or in what sense(s), virtue is something that can be taught. To develop an answer as accurate as possible, we decided, first, to develop an idea about what virtue is; then, using the thinking of authors such as Socrates, Wilde and Benjamin, we intend to weave a dialogue that would help us observe the limits and possibilities of understanding virtue as something that can be transmitted or taught.
